A dramatic alternative to traditional bathroom tiling, this Moroccan style plaster is great for wet rooms and bathrooms as it’s permeable to air but impermeable to water. In essence, Tadelakt allows walls to breathe, and its high pH value makes it both fungicidal and anti-bacterial. Applied seamlessly to create a smooth surface without grout lines, Tadelakt plaster is also suitable for pools, basins, spas, shower cubicles and hammams.

Tadelakt is applied to a waterproof substrate which we can either install for you or advise on. We recommend and use Bluclad board for this. The final surface is sealed with an olive-based black soap which reacts with the lime plaster to form the waterproof surface. Additional lustre can be achieved through adding a coat of wax, and black soap will keep the surface clean and waterproof.
